Broodmare purchase ThousandKissesDeep had the ultimate pedigree update when her 4 year old half-sister, Temida, stormed away under a hands and heels ride in the Group 1 Grosser Preis Von Bayern over Munich’s 12 furlongs.  A few options at Longchamp in early October look likely.  ThousandKissesDeep has a colt by TheWayYouAre and is safely in-foal to sprint stallion, Kyllachy.

Up continued her rise up the ranks, firstly by winning the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes before going up another level when taking the Group 2 Blandford Stakes, both at the Curragh.  She is out of broodmare purchase Halland Park Lass, who’s already dam of dual Group 1 winner Dutch Art.  Sole Power won the Listed Scarbrough Stakes at Doncaster for half-sister Be My Charm.  Two year old Taayel gained his first Black Type in the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury by finishing 3rd for his dam, Sakhee’s Song, a broodmare purchase. Zanetto, another 2 year old, helped his dam, Play Bouzouki, by finishing 2nd in the Group 3 Sirenia Stakes (won by Shumoos in 2011) at Kempton before just failing when 2nd in the £100,000 Tattersalls Millions Median Action Trophy at Newmarket.

Excelette has always been tough and pretty consistent which she showed again when 3rd in the Listed Scarbrough Stakes at Doncaster (just behind Sole Power) and was then 4th in the Group 3 World Trophy at Newbury both in September.  Maristar was 4th in the Grade 1 Beldame Invitational Stakes at Belmont not showing the sparkle of 2011.  Ever consistent St Moritz was 3rd in the Doonside Cup at Ayr.
