The greatest race meeting of all

June has the Epsom Derby and the greatest UK race meeting of all – Royal Ascot.  Sadly this year at Royal Ascot did not produce any winners for me, unlike in some previous years, but it is a great place to see some of the best horses in Europe and to take notes on their conformation for the future.  You never know when a horse that I have seen at the races is going to become available for sale or one that I chose to target on behalf of a client.

Thinking forward the Tattersalls July Sale (Tuesday 6th to Thursday 9th July) is a decent sale for Breeding stock and horse-in-training that I will definitely be attending (in 2009: 438 sold for a median of 6,500 Guineas).  I will look at the catalogue and my orders before deciding if I will attend the Fasig-Tipton July Yearling Sale (Tuesday 13th & Wednesday 14th July) in Kentucky (in 2009; 156 yearlings sold for a median of $55,000).
