Cavaleiro got back on track when 3rd in the Listed Noel Murless Stakes at Ascot beaten only 1.75 lengths. He’s always showed promise and will hopefully make up in to a decent stayer in 2013. On the broodmare front, two year olds Give Way Nelson was 2nd in the Listed Campanologist Cup at Hanover beaten only a short head for dam Give A Whistle, whilst Taayel gained his 2nd piece of Black Type when 3rd in the Listed Park Hill Hospital Stakes at Doncaster for dam Sakhee’s Song. Consistent sorts Ladies Are Forever was 2nd in the Listed Golden Rose Stakes at Lingfield for dam Forever Bond, and Dance And Dance was 4th in the Listed Guisborough Stakes at Redcar for dam Caldy Dancer.
Zagora‘s fine win in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Santa Anita was very pleasing having bought her Cape Cross half brother at Arqana August sale in Deauville. Hopefully he can reach these sorts of levels!
