Jordan Sport Breaks Records to head to Golden Shaheen

JORDAN SPORT smashed the track record at Meydan in the 1,200m Mahab Al Shimaa, Group 3, on Super Saturday in Dubai.  He led from the front and drew clear to pulverize the opposition by 7.5 lengths.  This was the Dubawi gelding’s first run on dirt and established him as the leading contender trained in Dubai for the Group 1 Golden Shaheen on Dubai Word Cup evening.  He will face sterner opposition on 31st March from USA & Hong Kong, but they will hopefully have to pull out all the stops to beat the track record holder.

Purchased by Oliver for only 90,000 Guineas at the Tattersalls Horses-in-Training Sale last October, he has been revitalized by Bahraini owner/trainer Fawzi Nass since arriving in Dubai.  This is the second time Oliver & Fawzi have had the winner of the Mahab Al Shimaa – Krypton Factor took it on the way to him winning the Group 1 Golden Shaheen.

SULTAN ONE becomes Oliver’s 14th Pakistan Derby Winner

SULTAN ONE, by Danzig stallion, Asaasi, took the 2018 Pakistan Derby at Lahore over 2,400m.  This was Oliver’s 9th consecutive Pakistan Derby victory since 2010 and his 14th Derby winner in total since 2001.
