CONSENT (by Lope de Vega) stormed to a 4.5 length win in the GROUP 1 Qatar Prix de Royallieu at Paris Longchamp on Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend on only her 6th start. This 3yo filly has been brought along with patience by Sir Mark Prescott after winning on debut last year and adding a further win on seasonal debut this season. She’s been a gutsy but inexperienced second in the Group 2 Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster and met with trouble in running when second in the Group 3 Prix Lady O’Reilly at Deauville’s August meeting. It is planned to keep her in training as a 4yo when she could quite literally be anything. Very exciting.
Owned by HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman Al Saud’s Denford Stud, this filly was bought for €260,000 as a yearling at Goffs Orby sale off breeders Sonia Rogers, Airlie Stud and Flaxman Stables. Her pedigree is strong from top to bottom. This was particularly sweet as Sonia Rogers helped me immensely when I was trying to get into the bloodstock industry.
