20,000 guineas Tattersalls October yearling purchase Alpha Delphini won a fabulous renewal of the Gr.1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York’s Ebor meeting.
Trainer Bryan Smart was adamant the horse should run at York as he thought he had him in the form of his life. Bryan had also trainer his half-brother Tangerine Trees to win the Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye at Longchamp on Arc day.
Bryan will now look at winning the Prix de l’Abbaye again if the ground is suitable.
