He may only have cost Β£36,000 at Goffs UK Premier yearling sales in 2019 but Mayson gelding ROHAAN has done nothing but keep on improving. Coming from the back of the field to win the Group 2 Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock over 6 furlongs on heavy ground in emphatic style.
He won 4 races on the all-weather over the winter starting off from an official rating of only 55, before switching to the grass to win the Group 3 Pavilion Stakes at Ascot over 6 furlongs on good-to-firm ground.
This three year old is clearly versatile winning on Heavy to Good-to-Firm. His rating has gone from 55 to 106 when he won at Haydock (it will rise further for that win) and he still seems to be getting better. Sadly geldings are not allowed to run in the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot, otherwise he would have been one of the favourites. Consistently underrated by professionals, including myself.
